Dave's Cars & Stuff

This Page will be an ongoing thing.  I have over 65 radio controlled cars & trucks.  I'll post photos here as I get them and show you some of my projects.   My favorite brand is Tamiya but I like pretty much like anything radio controlled.   The closer to being scale the better.   I like driving my stuff but I really like building and creating.   That is the real enjoyment I get from this hobby.

Anyway, check back often.  Thanks for stopping by!

My Tamiya Score while on a shopping spree in the Philippines in '07!

My Axial SCX10.    NOW with Axial Trail Honcho body with lights & working winch! Note the Axial BTA steering setup but mounted in front.

!!SOLD!!  BLING Slash!  Built from spare parts.  99% Aluminum...

My custom Semi inspired by some cool big truck I saw while in PI.  It uses the chassis from the Tamiya Mercedes delivery truck attached to the chassis from a Tamiya Knight Hauler with a Tamiya Box from the Box trailer mounted on top.  The truck is not articulated.  It is a single unit.  Both front axles steer and all 4 rear axles are live.

My Traxxas Slayer with the Real #47 Traxxas Pro4 CORR Truck

My Pajero Cross Country chassis.  All stock except for bearings & 55t motor.  I'm gonna be thrashing it so I didn't finish painting the lights...

My Slash with the real #25 Traxxas Pro2 Corr truck. It's got Red Aluminum parts, VXL & 8 cell 3600

THE best car ever made... Other than a Tamiya of course

My Tamiya CR-01 Landcruiser!  All stock except for the Pro-Line Hammer tires.

 My Tamiya Hilux

A Tamiya TL01 chassis with Tamiya Mini Cooper rear arms to narrow the car so the Tamiya 2 piece 30mm deep dish wheels will fit under the body.  The body is the newly re-released Toyota Supra with an old school Blitz decal set applied.

My red Tamiya M04 Re-Release V Dub plus an old picture of my original beetle that I sold years ago.

My Tamiya F350 is done!  It's been converted to a 4 link rear suspension and now has a 4 link front because I blew the front leafs in a tumble down a hill.  It has a custom solid brass rod cage setup in the rear.   The wheels are Traxxas Stampede rims dyed black and narrowed 5/8th inch.  I added Aluminum front & rear axle housings and made a servo mount on the axle (not as scale looking, but better steering).  You can see the updated beater pictures in the Rock Crawling page.

My Tamiya TT-01 Z-Tune Skyline w/ full lights

I sold the body though.  It now has the Tamiya S15 Silvia body.
